Instrument Rated Private Pilot
In late 2005 I started getting really into playing flight simulator and building myself a realistic enviornment. It was interesting, fun, and surprisingly easy to fly, land, and understand the concepts involved. At least in the game it was... Well, one night it was really late and I was watching Aqua Teen Hunger Force on Cartoon Network when a commercial came on saying I could take an introductory flight lesson for $50 with a coupon I printed online. I went, and was immediately hooked.
While deciding on a flight instructor and training program I ran across a really good instructor needing some computer work (ching!) and after a pretty easy day cleaning up her computer we started training. I got my certificate in September 2006. After flying for fun for a few years I decided to add an instrument rating which I got in January of 2011.
Now I'm instrument rated and I fly at Pacific Coast Flyers in Carlsbad, CA. I love aviation so much I got involved with the club and now serve on the Board of Directors and help keep our club up and running while trying to promote general aviation.
